Who can apply?
If you have Polish roots, you may be eligible. To qualify, you’ll need to:
Prove your ancestry
At least one parent or grandparent, or two great-grandparents of Polish nationality or citizenship — or show active involvement in the Polish community abroad.
Demonstrate basic Polish
Basic knowledge of the Polish language, traditions, and history.
Declare belonging
Declare belonging to the Polish nation during your consular interview.
Applications are submitted at the Polish consulate responsible for your region. The process is free of charge.
